Copyright can be complicated! However the key thing to understand is that for my standard fee, you are paying me to provide you with self-promotional shots but as the photographer I retain copyright under current legislation. This means that you can use the images to promote yourself, including in a theatre programme and Spotlight, but if the Sunday Times magazine wants to use one of my photographs in a feature on you (lets hope!) then you need to contact me and there may be a further fee payable by the magazine to use the picture. You should not retouch or sell the photographs I supply to you without my permission.
As copyright holder I retain the right to use the pictures to publicise my own services.
Photographer credit. Please credit me as the photographer whenever it is published - for example in Spotlight or a theatre programme.
